Loose Skin and Stretch Marks
from:Weight loss can be a real pain in the behind. Now, I don't necessarily say this because the process itself is far too difficult for the average human. I say this because of the other factors that are often overlooked. What do you know about stretch marks and loose skin? These are common burdens that tend to go hand in hand with great weigh loss. Especially if weight is dropped too quickly. Are you in the process of loosing weight right now? How fast do you intend on shedding those extra pounds of fat? In all honesty, it may be prudent to consult a professional prior to beginning your new weight loss/fitness regime.
It seems that a great deal of overweight individuals lack the proper knowledge concerning loose skin and irksome stretch marks. However, this is a crucial part of weight loss to think about. You see, when most folks just go all out and start dropping major pounds, their bodies do not adjust properly. Think about this for a second. If you were 300 pounds and had a 45 inch waist, plummeting down to 170 with a 31 inch waist is going to change some things. Your body was obviously stretched out to suit your overweight self. Now you are slim again. So where is all that extra skin going? Well, if you lose the weight at a slow pace, then your body may readjust as best it can. However, if you shed those ponds rapidly, then you may end up with oodles of loose skin and stretch marks. In fact, the stretch marks may be impossible to avoid. The loose skin on the other hand often relates to how fast you drop the weight. I was able to witness a few of these incidents on a reality show about a plastic surgeon. It was rather interesting to say the least. I can't imagine what that would be like to have all that extra loose skin draping off my body. Anyway, the plastic surgeon basically cuts it off to get you looking back to normal. But, if you lose weight at a slower rate, you may not require such a surgery.
Are you afflicted with loose skin after massive weight loss? Hey, don't get down on yourself about it. Sure it's a bummer, but it's time to take action and remedy this dilemma.
